Each May, Historic Preservation Month invites us to consider what it means to care for the places that shape our communities. At Körner’s Folly, preservation is not just about what is saved, but how people encounter history.
Throughout the month, we are hosting a series of programs that invite you into the work of preservation through foodways, architecture, music, making, and community experience. Whether you join us for a single event or move through the full month, each offering connects back to the same question: what does it take to sustain a place like this over time?

Why Preservation Month Matters Here
Körner’s Folly is not preserved as a static object. It is an active environment, one that requires ongoing care, interpretation, and thoughtful use.
Programs like these are part of that work. They:
- support the continued maintenance of the building
- connect visitors to lived history rather than abstract information
- create opportunities for community participation in preservation
By joining us, you support the continued care and preservation of Körner’s Folly.
