What a great treasure in the heart of historic Kernersville. Such a great self guided tour. Certainly worth the price of admission.
Such a lovely well preserved home..amazing ...so glad it is here for more generations to come and enjoy this truly unique and rare beauty..
We really enjoyed going through the house. It was very interesting and fun. The house was intriguing and we spent a good bit of time reading all about it and looking at all the unusual architecture.... Well worth a visit.read more
Really awesome visit, loved the history and preservation. Got to truly see the whole house, and so neat to see original furniture. Would highly recommend
Interesting place. Good way to burn an hour or so if you're in the areaI loved the period correct plastic chairs in the theater.Somewhat disappointed I didn't see any snakes.
A beautiful historic home that has so many things to look at and learn about for the local area
There is a lot of different architectural designs incorporated in this house which showed the public at that time what he or his company was capable of doing for their customers. Very smart fellow.
Beautiful historic house, very interesting, employees were extremely knowledgeable and friendly.

Had a really fun time with my Beautiful Baby, just enjoying our walk back through time👍
Looks like the hello neighbor house. *shhhh* *shhhh* he's coming
An incredible house! Truly feels bigger on the inside. All sorts of stairs and windows and doors of all shapes and sizes and styles all over the place! My favorite room is the theatre which I won't... spoil for you. Definitely worth the price!read more
Self guided. No wait. Interesting and nicely kept historical place. Thanks for keeping this available for us to enjoy!
A unique historical landmark right in our very own “kvegas!” Pictures don’t do this interior designer’s 19th century home justice—I recommend doing the $12 (adult price) self-guided tour to see what... I mean!Things of note:The 22-room house and furniture has been nicely restored and preserved. There is a bathroom inside; outside food and drinks not allowed. There was also an online scavenger hunt for whomever and historical descriptions in each room. There is a decent amount of stairs, low-ceiling rooms, and narrow hallways.read more
It’s absolutely one of the most interesting houses constructed. The staff were knowledgeable and accommodating, prices were modest, the quality of the showing is very high, there was no wait to begin... the tour, and there was no rush to move through the house. It was self-guided but staff were available if you had any questions. Highly recommended 👍read more

Pretty neat! Not a great tour for young children because almost everything says “do not touch” and the stairs are definitely a hazard. It’s a fun place to take visitors from out of town!
