Victorian Parlor Series: Spirited Halloween Ball

Join us for a ‘spirited’ event at the curious home of Jule Körner this Halloween weekend as we explore historical aspects of the 19th-century Spiritualist movement (and its skeptics). Guests are encouraged to arrive in Victorian-inspired Halloween costumes and enjoy a Spiritualist scavenger hunt, fall-themed hors d’oeuvres, Victorian-era refreshments concocted by Kernersville’s own Breathe Cocktail Lounge, and classic Victorian parlor games in the home’s elegant second-floor Reception Room. Tarot card readings are included in admission, as well as a pop-up exhibit with work for sale by local artist Derek Huss of Crimson Harvest. As a ticket add-on, get your aura photographed by Spiritquest of Southern Pines, NC!

For the evening’s main entertainment, interested guests may proceed up the stairs to Cupid’s Park Theatre, where they will participate in an educational and entertaining reenactment of a 19th-century Spiritualist séance in the hopes of summoning a mysterious party guest. This theatrical reenactment is not intended to be a demonstration of mediumship, nor a way to contact the deceased. It is not recommended for the recently bereaved.

Tickets are non-refundable, but may be used for a self-guided tour during public hours within a year of the purchase date.
