Pre-registration for this program has closed. Tickets are available inside Aunt Dealy’s House (cards only at this time).
Dig deeper into historic preservation with a behind-the-scenes look into the interior restoration of Korner’s Folly! Guided tours of the eclectic Victorian home’s 22 rooms will provide an overview of the historic preservation process and highlight fascinating tidbits from historic finishes analysis and primary sources. Learn from preservationist experts who will be on site to speak about their work and answer questions.
Following the tour, all ticketholders are invited to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Summer Kitchen restoration. Celebrate Historic Preservation Month with Korner’s Folly, preservation officials and representatives of local organizations, including Preservation Forsyth, the Forsyth County Historic Resources Commission, and the Kernersville Historic Preservation Society!
Conducted by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the “People Saving Places” awareness campaign helps citizens understand that preservation and progress aren’t just compatible, but integral to building stronger communities.
Light refreshments will be served. Pre-registration is recommended! Unfortunately, Körner’s Folly is not wheelchair accessible. Tickets are nonrefundable, but may be used for any regular self-guided tour, Tuesdays – Saturdays, 10 am – 4 pm, within a year of purchase.
Adult Admission $20
Child Admission $6
All proceeds benefit ongoing restoration efforts at Körner’s Folly.
