Event Details

On Saturday, November 8 from 10 am – 11:30 am, the Körner’s Folly Foundation will present our monthly Taste of History program, featuring an engaging discussion from Joseph Candillo, PhD, as he discusses Native American Traditional Arts. A member of the Pasqua Yaqui Tribe, Candillo will dive into his research on Native American material culture through history as well as his own work with indigenous traditional arts. During this presentation, Candillo will showcase various examples of indigenous material artifacts and the significance of those items.

In this insightful presentation, Candillo will share the rich cultural heritage of various indigenous peoples in the Americas through his personal descriptions and explanations of traditional crafts such as beadwork, pottery, weaving, and more. Join us for this free program, as we celebrate Indigenous People’s Month and see examples of the traditional cultural arts brought by Joseph Candillo for display.

For more information about Joseph Candillo, visit his website at www.joecandillo.com.

The Taste of History program is held in the Community Room of the John & Bobbie Wolfe Visitor Center. Program Admission is free and includes light refreshments. No pre-registration is required.
