Crafting with the Körners: Book Vase Workshop with Bethany Ackiss of Forage Joy Florals

Join us for a hands-on book vase and flower workshop with local florist Bethany Ackiss with Forage Joy Florals and learn the art of floral design while creating a unique vase made out of a vintage book! Part of our Victorian Parlor Series, this program will provide participants with instruction on creating the book vase, including the tools and special stitches from an experienced florist for a guided workshop experience.

This workshop is perfect for all skill levels, from a complete beginner to the craft or someone looking to refine the floral skills they already have, this workshop is for you. Participants will enjoy learning the tips and tricks to help enhance skills while engaging with fellow crafting enthusiasts in the Community Room of the John & Bobbie Wolfe Visitor Center. Light refreshments will be provided.

The program will be held from 1-4 PM, with instruction at the beginning of the session and ample time to create a unique floral display to be houses in the book vase with the remaining time. All supplies are provided in the ticket price. Participants will be given the book, materials for creating the vase, and the florals of varying kinds to create a one-of-a-kind piece to take home.
