Event Details

On Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 10 – 11:30 am, the Körner’s Folly Foundation will present our free monthly Taste of History program.

May’s program, in celebration of Historic Preservation Month, will feature a presentation by Michelle McCullough of the Forsyth County Historic Resources Commission and Brittany Hendley, Körner’s Folly Community Engagement Manager, as they join together to discuss the valuable resources available for historic designations and the influence of the Körner/Kerner families in the development of the built landscape of Kernersville during the late 1800s to early 1900s. Mandy Cheek, President of Kernersville Historic Preservation Society, will also have information available for interested attendees on historic preservation in the Kernersville community.

At the conclusion of this FREE program, attendees will be provided with materials and resources for a self-guided Historic Downtown walking tour of several of the landmark locations within walking distance of the Visitors Center.

The Taste of History program is held in the Community Room of the John & Bobbie Wolfe Visitors Center. Program Admission is free and includes light refreshments. No pre-registration is required.
