On Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 10 am – 11:30 am, the Körner’s Folly Foundation will present our monthly Taste of History program, featuring Brittany Hendley, Körner’s Folly Community Engagement Manager, who will share engaging information on the development and influence of tea culture during the Victorian period. Our community guest speaker, local entrepreneur Brooke Cashion, will dive into the historical framework and contemporary practice of Southern hospitality.
This FREE program will also showcase several collection items owned and used by the Körner family, particularly their porcelain and gold Öpaig tea service that dates from the early 1910s.
At the conclusion of the participants’ dialogue, there will be a short Q&A session followed by light refreshments provided by Cashion’s new venture Busy as a Bee, including hot tea and lemonade.
The Taste of History program is held in the Community Room of the John & Bobbie Wolfe Visitor Center. Program Admission is free and includes light refreshments. No pre-registration is required.
