Come to enjoy a day of exploration as we discover life on the Victorian farm! Join us on this special Homeschool Day designed to bring learning and discovery through interactive, farm-themed activities for students of all ages. This day is all about outdoor play, plants and animals, engaging crafts, and celebrating the rhythms of farm life during the Victorian era.
Homeschool groups and families will be able to enjoy up-close experiences with real baby goats from The Romesburg Family Farm and discover local plants native to our region with a hands-on plant station led by horticulturalists from the Paul J. Ciener Botanical Gardens. This is a great opportunity for homeschool learners to enjoy a day of fun by interacting with agriculture and animals while understanding the important role farms played for Americans during the Victorian era.
This program offers self-guided tours, historic yard games and toys, arts-and-crafts, and a special “Fun on the Farm” themed scavenger hunt through all 22 rooms of Körner’s Folly. In the John & Bobbie Wolfe Visitors Center Community Room, homeschoolers will be able to complete word searches, and hands-on activities themed around plant and animal uses during the Victorian era!
Last house entry time is at 1:00 PM. Plan to come early or stay later after your tour. Activities can be done in any order! Families are welcome to bring lunch to eat picnic-style on our grounds or in the John and Bobbie Wolfe Visitors Center Community Room.
