Are you looking for a new, festive holiday tradition? Make the trip to South Main Street in Kernersville this December! On Saturday December 12, 2020 three Kernersville destinations are teaming up to create an enchanting holiday destination. As you stroll down Main Street, stop at Körner’s Folly to explore the 1880’s house museum adorned in Victorian Christmas décor, and then continue to the Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden where you can find unique gifts and inspiration for holiday decorating. Then finish up at the Kernersville Museum where you can learn about the history of the season before grabbing a pair of ice skates for a lap around their outdoor ice skating rink!
A Victorian Christmas at Körner’s Folly
Adorned with period decorations, tours transport you to Jule Körner’s world of Victorian extravagance. Körner’s Folly is transformed in the holidays with floor-to-ceiling garland, lights, and Christmas trees in nearly every room. Tours promise visitors of all ages holiday cheer and an unforgettable experience! Tours are self-guided, reservations are required; meander through all 22 whimsically decorated rooms at your own pace.

A Spectacular Holiday Bloom & Gift Shop Open House
Come visit the Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden to experience the Yuletide season during their Holiday Open House. Visit the Wyatt & Dolores LeFever Garden Gift Shop for décor, gift offerings, crafts, and specialty items for nature-lovers in your life. Walk the Outdoor Displays through a Holiday Wonderland with inspirational decorations and enjoy the recycled Tulip Lights.

A Tour through Local History
Experience the magic of Christmas at Hometown Christmas at the Kernersville Museum during the 2020 Holiday Season. Live trees have been adopted and decorated throughout the property, lights draped over the village and a Holiday Wish Tree in the middle of it all. Inside the Museum current exhibits include: Kernersville Faces & Places, Hidden Gems: Mildred Ballard, and special Pinnix Drug exhibit. Outdoor exhibits include our restored Tobacco Barn exhibit, as well as our brand new Historic Village. Our popular synthetic ice skating rink will be back this year and open during this year’s Yuletide event. Enjoy Downtown Kernersville while it is decked out in its holiday best while ice skating right in the heart of it all.
