Family Fun Days
Friday, July 16 & Saturday July 17
10 am – 4 pm
Presented by Walmart Foundation

This exciting and engaging event offers children and families a special way to explore Körner’s Folly. Self-guided tours and a digital scavenger hunt allow visitors to discover the history, art, and architecture of the ca. 1880 home at their own pace, while encouraging observation and honing reading and listening skills.

Before or after your tour, be sure to spend some time with sand archaeology and our historic yard games, including croquet, the game of graces, and badminton. Thanks to our neighbors The Gibson House Inn, we will also have giant Jenga and giant Connect Four set up on the lawn!

To extend your visit, pair your tour with a take-home Activity Kit. Activity Kits may be reserved in advance and will include everything needed to make your own thaumatrope, puppets, yarn doll, and whirligig. These activities are best suited for 3^rd grade and up. For younger visitors, we recommend adding a Körner’s Folly Coloring Book, featuring original and detailed illustrations of this architectural marvel (fun for adults too)!
