This November, join us for a special holiday edition of our popular program, the Victorian Parlor Series, and create your own hand-embroidered Christmas ornament.

Inspired by Polly Alice Körner, who was President of the Kernersville Embroidery Circle and a member of the Needlework Guild of America, this program celebrates her skill and love of needlecraft. The in-person workshop will take place at Körner’s Folly, just in time for the holiday season.

Each embroidery kit includes all supplies needed to complete a beautiful and traditional 3″ Christmas ornament in your choice of two patterns: A Christmas Tree or Holiday Cardinal. This project is recommended for those of any skill level and can be completed in one afternoon. Hands on instruction in pattern tracing, setting your hoop, and stitching will be provided.

While registration for the in-person workshop has closed, you can still still participate by selecting a “Just the Kit” option below, which includes the supplies (thread, hoop, fabric, and needle) and instructional handout for $15, but not hands-on instruction or a self-guided tour of Körner’s Folly.  Kits will be available for curbside pickup (at 413 S. Main Street, Kernersville) on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 10am-4pm, and Saturdays 10am-2pm, starting Wednesday, November 11 @ 10am.  You will receive an email with pickup information.
